Our Beginning
When we opened Saylor Mick’s Pizza & Pub at 2020 US-12 in Spring Grove, IL, we weren’t just starting a restaurant—we were building a place where people could truly feel at home. I’m Jim Saylor, and together with my partner Lin Myland, we turned our shared love for good food, cold drinks, and great times into something real. We believed Spring Grove needed a spot that felt like a local hangout, but served food that made you want to tell your friends.
What Inspired Us
We grew up around bar food, family recipes, and Friday night traditions. Pizza nights, broasted chicken dinners, and Italian beef sandwiches were more than meals—they were memories. We wanted to bring that same energy to our place. The idea was simple: serve comfort food done right, with no shortcuts. Every item on our menu has a story, a flavor, and a purpose.
